It does just what it says it will do. I love how the gel diffuses light into a softer look.

There is a difference, but....

When testing the Diffusion Dome in the XL reflector by itself, and with the MagSphere XL, I was able to see a very subtle difference in the speculator highlights, but there was a difference. Although the light output of MagSphere XL is so extremely soft and even, your subject will look great without the dome diffusion, I'm still happy with the decision. So much so, that I ordered a 2nd dome diffusion gel!!
