CKG Hex-7 Sand Scoop

I love the size of the scoop. I also love the option of 2 different handle types possible for it. I find the small handle better on beaches and sand courts, but the long option for water. Great addition to my detecting arsenal.

Scoop itself is great and seems to be really aolid but the handle and threads are very poor. Almost seems like the threads don’t match or were cross threaded prior to receiving as the handle doesn’t thread onto the scoop smoothly at all and would require you to force it on. Also the storage bag that came with it also has a number of cuts/holes in it upon opening. That’s not a big deal but really disappointed in the quality of the threading on the handle and scoop for the amount of money spent on this. Seems like something that should’ve been caught by quality control.

It was my first scoop and probably my last.

This thing is built like a tank and worked perfectly at the beach. The smaller size made flying with it easy.
