This is a very polarizing candle, I can definitely understand why people don’t like it. It has a very smoky note to it which I think turns many away, but underneath the smoke is a really lovely harmony of oats, honey and marmalade. It really does do what it says on the tin, emulate a Scottish breakfast.
My only complaint is that the wick for this candle was way too short. When I attempted to burn it I had a very small meager flame going which was quickly extinguished. I eventually had to put this candle under my warmer to melt the wax enough to salvage the wick. Definitely not something I would expect to deal with on a $70 plus candle.
Notwithstanding the quality control issue, this is a really unique, fun and exciting scent. Best enjoyed on rainy days, with a good book in your hand and a cute cat close by.
