Purrfect Perch Outdoor Cat Tree

Pleased with this cat tree!

This is our second one – the first was removed because of our recent backyard re-do. Our cats loved the first one although we kept the max height at just under 6 feet. This time we sunk the sleeve in two 50 lb. bags of quickcrete. We used all sections of the post and added an additional (6th) step because our kitties are starting to get older . . . so the height of the top platform is the full 7' 4". I'm pretty pleased with the final installation and waiting for our cats to confirm this, LoL! The base is incredibly solid but there is still a bit of flex in the post due to the nature of the hollow metal tubes used. I may need to dampen the flex a bit by connecting it to a nearby arbor with wire rope or something similar, but it all depends on what our feline family decides, right? We previously accomplished full dampening using a length of cheap vinyl clothsline cord. The folks at Purrfect Fence did an outstanding job helping us out with a few minor issues with mis-drilled holes on the top platform pieces. They were aware of the issue and have promised to fix it and I know from experience this will happen swiftly – we previously purchased and installed nearly $2k of their fencing with good results over nearly 20 years during which we received great customer service and help customizing things to our needs. Great View from the Top!

I’m really happy with the Purrfect Perch so far. Only one of my two cats has tried it out, but she loves it. Nikita, who’s lithe and athletic, easily climbs up and enjoys lounging on the platform or perching on the steps. My bigger cat, Rudi, weighs about 18 pounds and might have a harder time with the narrow steps—I see that other customers have made modifications with larger steps, platforms...might be worth giving customers these options. Assembly was mostly straightforward, though the holes on the platform boards didn’t line up with the bracket at first. I contacted Purrfect Fence Support on a Saturday and got a response by Tuesday letting me know they were sending replacement cedar boards. To my surprise, they arrived already attached to a new bracket—excellent customer service! The picture with the pole tied to the patio post is before securing the pole with the self drilling / tapping screws. The perch looks great in my backyard, is very sturdy and well-made, and I can already tell the cats are going to love it so I may need another one down the road. I live in the deep south so I hope it holds up to the elements. Highly recommend!

The cat has explored it and we hope with time it will see regular use.
