TrekChair V2 Highback Backpacking Chair

20 grams more than my Helinox Chair Zero Large, 2x more comfortable

230lb lanky male here. I don't fit in regular ultralight backpacking chairs, and a I barely fit in the helinox L version. I will be swapping out my trekking poles and helinox chair for this set moving forward. The goat sticks weighed exactly as much as my current pair, and the trek chair fabric and poles weigh a little under 20 grams more than my helinox chair zero L fabric and poles. Comfort is WELL worth that penalty, and I will not be going on a trip any time soon without a chair in my pack. This chair makes perfect sense if you are physically larger male and need a chair and poles that aren't going to fold like tissue paper. I don't think this would make sense for avere size or smaller people, there are lighter options that would perform well for those groups. For me though, I get trekking poles that I can really put my weight on when I slip, and I get a chair that fits my body without digging into my back/shoulder blades or thighs.

Honestly one of the coolest pieces of gear I’ve picked up so far. I needed trekking poles anyway so getting the bundle was well worth it, especially given that the price of a high quality pair of trekking poles can run around or even higher than what I paid for this bundle. The chair itself is phenomenal and will beat sitting on rough ground every single time. 100% reccomended!!
