Boy am I glad I added this item to a recent purchase. It really helps distribute shampoo evenly in my hair - which makes my hair feel cleaner - and it invigorates my scalp. I like that the massaging points are firm, but not hard on my scalp. I had another scalp massager before with thin , softer bristles and after a few uses it lacked any massaging use. This one is made to last with a sturdy wooden handle.
