Newbie to milling wheat berries. I first ordered hard red winter and rye and am beyond pleased with the flavor and nutritive quality of my baked goods! Plan to try other grains & just purchased a bucket of the red winter wheat.

tasty in rice!

I love tossing Red Winter Wheat berries in with rice. It adds a bit of texture and flavor. Cook a bit more than you need and save the extra to put in soups; heat with veggies; or add to fruit and yoghurt. When I have a busy week, I add black beans to my rice and wheat berries, along with celery, carrots and peas (whatever is in the ' fridge), for quick grab-and-go meals. When I cook rice and wheat berries, I add herbs, curry powder and either olive or walnut oil to the water. Yum! So glad I found Palouse Brand--it's nice to be able to support farmers in my own state by buying a great product.
