Refurbished Gaggia Magenta Prestige Super-Automatic Espresso Machine

Poorly packaged but great machine

Upon opening the box and removing the machine, I dropped the bag containing the accessories because of the way it was packaged. The milk carafe was broken due to being dropped and I had to buy a new one. Very frustrating beginning. Since then the machine works great and is very simple and easy to use. Never had better coffee at home. My only other complaint is that the only "manual" you get is a QR code that takes you to the website listing for the machine. From there you can watch the videos for set up and use of the machine but they usually include how to use the other Gaggia Magenta machine as well, so somewhat of a waste of time. I wish they included an actual user manual but I guess I'll have to print one from the Gaggia website myself.

Gaggia Magenta Prestige

Nine years ago upon retirement I splurged and bought myself a refurbished Gaggia Academia. It became my morning ritual for nine years until it gave up the ghost. The price of another Academia was difficult for me at this time so I bought the Magenta hoping for the best. After initial setup I discovered the milk carafe would not properly attach. I had to physically push on it to get the machine to continue through a full brewing cycle. The machine itself is fine at its price point. I sent it back. It was an easy process but I had to pay for shipping from CA to NY. I ordered another refurbished Gaggia Academia and have had it for one week. I’m back to my morning ritual which I couldn’t live without.

We love our machine, works great. We get perfect coffee everyday.
