Great aluminum dinghy bench
The old bench for my Achilles inflatable was made of rubber coated plywood. It rotted. The spec calls for a 35.5 inch length. No one except Achilles makes an aluminum bench of this length, and it costs close to $200. Newport offers a 35 inch aluminum bench for less than half of the price. I figured that since it’s an inflatable, I have wriggle room to work with a bench that is half an inch short. It turns out the 35-inch bench by Newport fits perfectly. And it’s not going to rot like the original plywood piece.
