Weatherproof Temperature and Humidity Sensor, Hub Required!

To calibrate or not to calibrate

I have several commercial weather apps on my smart phone and they very rarely offer the same temperature reading. I understand that they are each interpreting different microclimates and are not likely to ever report identical temperatures. How then to calibrate the Yolink Temperature and Humidity sendor? I can set my refrigerator’s temp and the temp in its freezer compartment. After setting the freezer temp to O° and then to 3°, Yolink indicated exactly the identical temps over several hours time. So far, so good. Getting similar results using the food compartment at a 37° setting gave poor results. However, using my home thermostat (set to 72°) did give me an identical temp reading on my Yolink. I’m reckoning the refrigerator’s freezer and home thermostat are pointing to a 0° calibration being appropriate. The refrigerator’s fresh food and dairy readings compatibility. with Yolink’s reading is not helpful or explicable

Works great! (with some suggestions)

I install greywater irrigation and rainwater harvesting systems and use these to monitor tank water levels, control remote valve actuators, and monitor flow rates. So far everything is working very well and I like the interface. The LoRa technology is great and the app is easy to understand. I love that some of the sensors can run off batteries for years and don't need a power source (such as the tank level gauge), this makes installation etremely easy. Some requests: 1. A remote valve actuator on a 3-port valve would be very useful! 1" is our most common valve size but 2" and 3" pipe is also sometimes used. 2. The tank level gauge cannot be calibrated to tanks that are shallower than 1 meter. We have some "lowboy" tanks that are only a couple feet high when full so it doesn't give an accurate reading. Also having a "gallons" reading would be useful instead of just a percentage full)
