Meze Audio Silver PCUHD 4-Pin Mini-XLR Replacement Cable

The Meze silver plated copper cable is definitely an upgrade over the stock cable that came with the Meze Empyrean headphones. This cable is beautiful, has an incredible buile quality, has an excellent feel, and is flexible and light. There's definitely been an improvement in sound quality, and I think this justifies the cost of the cable. In my opinion, the Empyreans have retained their smoothness and the cable didn't add any brightness. The bass is tight and present, and there's greater clarity, detail resolution, better imaging and a slight improvement in soundstage. Overall, this cable is a great upgrade that will bring the Empyreans to a higher level. I would definitely recommend this cable!

IMO the silver cables are a 'must' for Meze Elite and probably also Empyrean. I first tried the Meze copper cables in comparison to the standard ones, but found that there wasn't enough improvement to justify the expense. Then, using the standard cables, I noticed distorted or 'clinky' tone in treble piano notes in both classical and jazz. The Meze silver cables eliminated this and sound great! Upper frequencies sound accurate but not aggressive.

Definitely improved the sound of my Meze Elites. The bass tightened and the top treble was raised ever so slightly.
