The Real Deal

My father was from Rocky Mount NC, while I was born and raised in NY every summer dad would travel to NC bringing that Eastern NC BBQ back. That is what I hoped this order would be. So many memories flooded back upon tasting. I am beyond pleased. I have already placed an order for the pork lovers package. One for myself and one for my brother who now lives on the West Coast and will be beyond thrilled upon receiving his package. Parker’s will forever be my go to for the authentic Eastern NC BBQ. Their bacon and sausage are phenomenal as well. Run don’t walk and place your order.

I was born and raised in NC and was truly devastated after moving away when I had no way to get my Parker's fix. At lesat when on the east coast a stop in Wilson by the family, for lunch and takeaway, was a given as we traveled up and down from Charleston, SC to Fairfax, VA. I nosed around a time or two over the years after moving to California about buying barbecue for shipment but the shipping alone was cost prohibitive. Now that it is available by the pound individually or with other wonderfulness like corn bread sticks, and there are special's that include free shipping. I try to keep my freezer stocked. When I made my first purchase I wanted to surprise my kids and grandkids so I made some coleslaw, got the barbecue thawed and heating on the stove, fried up the corn bread sticks and when they walked in the door they couldn't help but swoon over the smell. That smell the kids could remember when they were pre-teens. My daughter now orders on her own and we indulge as often as humanly possible. My latest order is in the freezer at the ready and writing this makes my mouth water. Thank you for the lifelong memories and may they continue forever.

Memories of Home

When I was growing up, my family always gathered at Parker’s in Greenville, NC when we had a big crowd. The fried chicken, Brunswick stew and hush puppies were always a favorite of mine. As I got older, I developed a taste for NC barbecue, and now that’s what I crave when I’m in New Mexico. Recently I ordered some barbecue and Brunswick stew from Parker’s, and it was shipped right to my door. It was frozen when it arrived, and all I had to do was place the plastic bags in boiling water for twenty minutes. I so enjoyed my dinner that night. Memories of home
