Gut Restore for Cats

It’s working…

Minnie has had diarrhea suspecting IBD for a very long time. Nothing was helping. Our next step was ultrasound and/or biopsy. I decided I wanted to try this first. We started her every other day for a few weeks, then daily, then twice daily. She has been on twice daily for 4 weeks now. I’m seeing her poo finally improve from big soft cow pie, to small bits of that. She still has several weeks on twice daily but am optimistic!

Can't get it in my cat to see if it really works ...

My cat ate one capsule in a pill pocket and threw upfive minutes later, so i didn't try to give it to him again at dinner. The instructions say to only give once/day if it makes your pet throw up, so I gave it again the next day and he threw up again. I did not see the capsule in his vomit so I thought it might be working? After the second day, my cat started eating around the treat.

Didn't work for us

Our cat had diarrhea when she came to live with us, so we don't know how long. We tried at least a dozen different approaches over the course of a year and a half, including this one 3 months ago. We started with 1 pill every morning and evening which made her diarrhea like brown water. Gave her a week off then started one pill daily with prescription food. We did that for 2 months with no changes, so finally quit this attempt and moved on to another (CBD/CBG oil which is helping but not consistently and not enough). We are trying to avoid steroids, but it appears that may be our next step. This may work, but it didn't work for us. That being said, the pills are small enough to give easily, and we don't regret trying it.
