My Old Friends

When I was much younger, I learned the hard way that inexpensive shoes might be cute but they might also fall quickly apart. At that age, I viewed SAS as "old lady shoes", but liked the sandal design and decided to try a brown pair because they offered a range of widths. My experience with them was so good that I bought more colors: black and white. This year I needed a darker brown to go with an outfit. I still have all three pairs of sandals, the age of which I can only guess is at least two decades if not three. They are all fully functional. The black ones have even been to Europe, which as you may know is rough on shoes due to cobblestones. Shoes that can last that long and still be perfectly serviceable are more than worth the price!
