Disappointed in your customer service

I love your brand, and your store in SF, and was so excited to send a dear friend a gift card for his birthday. But the harmonic tea pot they ordered arrived broken, and they said it took no fewer than 15 emails to try and reconcile the situation / get the info they needed to send it back. The whole ordeal was so unpleasant, they ended up just ordering a bunch of coffee and giving up on getting a new teapot sent. This really surprised and disappointed me. I also got an email, supposedly from the head UX, asking if it all went well, and when I wrote back with this story, some random customer support person wrote back that they sent an email and that all was resolved. I've received several "how did we do" emails and I continue to explain that things didn't go super smoothly, and yet, I just keep getting "how did it go" emails, and no further explanation or make-it-right emails. We did enjoy a really delicious single origin coffee with them that they received, instead of the teapot, but I don't know that I'll be gifting anyone else anything from you. I was embarrassed that our birthday present to them became such an unpleasant hassle for them.

Digital gift card

I gave it four stars because I did not receive the digital gift card upon ordering. I got a confirmation email that my purchase went through, but no gift card. I had to contact the company to receive the digital gift card. They were very prompt in response, and I had my card the next day.
