Feliks Audio Echo Classic

This was my first tube amplifier I've ever owned. I've been down a rabbithole for a while searching for the most clinical and revealing sound signature, and in that journey I was finding that a lot of very popular headphones just weren't living up to my taste, like the Focal Elex or the HD 650. I got this because I wanted to gamble on something different, and I was amazed at how much of a difference the Echo MK II made. Suddenly all of my headphones I was feeling "meh" on became lovable on this amplifier. It's not the super clinical sound signature I've been searching for, but it's a warm, romantic, rich sound that I didn't know I needed until now. I would absolutely buy this again, no questions asked. As I play through my library on the Echo MK II, many songs present themselves very differently and come across with an emotional presentation that I had never experienced before. I can't get enough of this thing!

Great item -- nicely built, will definitely require the burn in time as described in the manual and then things will start to bloom nicely. Pair it with a good headphone and be rewarded with a smooth, detailed, and airy presentation. Good match with Focal, Sennheiser. Beyerdynamic, ZMF, and others. Don't let the power rating fool you as this amp packs the goods to drive most headphones. Tube rolling is another great option with plenty of options.

I like this amp. It does not have as much power compared to the WA2, but it has much better detail resolution. Very pleasant listening with my Beyerdynamic DT 880 and DT 1990.
