I primarily fish smaller dry flies in clear alpine lakes on sunny days when the trout are often easily spooked from splashes. The katana line is great in helping flies land very gently as well as making it easier to keep them on top of the water. I would have left a 5 star rating but it can be a challenge to cast this line some distance during even light wind gusts, so I find myself during such times switching to the heavier PVC floating line to maintain better accuracy trading off presentation.

Gentle line layout.

First used on big water (lake) able to deliver a fly with minimal surface disturbance. Expect that will perform well on big streams or rivers.
