Chelsea Rope Basket Kit

Kit is nice but for a novice instructions not good for beginners in basket crochet! I crochet but technology is getting the best of me with this particular kit I bought, wish I had chosen something else

Make the basket your own - order a few extra skeins

I ordered the kit and a few extra skeins of rope. I made a large basket, and then made a basket according to the instructions. Both the written instructions and the video were clear and helpful. Although the rope is a bit stiff to work with, it is doable.

Weaving a different way.

As a basket weaver (with reed and willow) this was a new challenge for me. Crocheting was not something I could ever do (much to my grandma’s dismay). BUT the video instructions - they were great. I really haven’t a clue what the written ones said/meant/translated to, but the video made all the difference. I have now purchased additional materials and made 3 more baskets. The rope is a little challenging to work with (compared to yarn) but works great for the finished product. Highly recommend even if you have no idea how to do it ! Go make some baskets. really, you can do this.
