I bought two kits to have an afternoon of relaxing basket weaving with my girlfriend. It turned out to be nothing but relaxing; even though I soaked the willows for 8 days, it kept breaking, and I couldn't even complete it. It looks nothing like your photo. We live in a very dry climate. Maybe willow isn't a good material for this dryness... I don't know. It was rather traumatic.

I found the videos very helpful and well produced. I struggled with the willow itself. I never could get it to be as supple as the willow in the video. I don't know how much is user incompetaince or the material itself. It left me frustrated and unhappy with the results.

The online tutorial is great! However, as a first timer, I allowed my willow to soak for too many days. As a result, the odor and texture was horrible and I wasn't able to make the foraging basket...very disappointed. In the future, I will buy from very beautifully skilled craftspeople. Trying to figure out what to do with musty smelling bundle of willow...expensive kindle I suppose. Thank you for the experience, wish it would have worked out, perhaps in the tutorial, let people know to NOT soak longer than 3-4 days. Rookie mistake for me. Your baskets are lovely...sad I messed it up.
