Could be better

This generally works as expected, however I had two problems. First, the large Trex double gate I'm monitoring has a 5/8" gap that is almost too big for reliable sensor function. It would be nice to have an option for a stronger magnet. Second, the battery box fell off my other Trex gate. Both gates are the same age, same material, and facing the same direction. The adhesive strip no longer had any stickyness. I purchased a 5 ft roll of "Scotch-Mount Extreme Double-Sided Mounting Tape" that worked quite well.

Versatile little sensor!

I actually used this as a simple open or closed sensor for a "low water pressure" switch setup for my well. Watering cattle all day so this gives me peace of mind that when I leave there is pressure in the plumbing. Cut the wires and wired them to a simple low pressure switch that’s normally closed. When pressure drops below set point on the pressure switch, this little sensor trips and I get a notification! Inexpensive and flawless! Can be configured to alarm either with an open or closed switch state.

Works very well. Easy to setup. Love these sensors
