Zaatar Oregano

Arrived quickly. I planted some of the very tiny seeds the next day after delivery in a small clam shell container. I checked the container today and saw tiny sprouts already. Very excited as the package said germination was generally slow and erratic. Look forward to transplanting time.

Vigorous Seeds Turned into Strong Plants

Zaatar is notoriously hard to germinate, but these seeds sprouted in a week and quickly grew into strong and healthy plants. They need light to germinate, so I just pressed them into moist soil and put them under grow lights until it was warm enough to plant them out in the garden. This is authentic-tasting zaatar just like in the herb mix my family gets from Lebanon. I'm looking forward to making my own blend with this year's crop.
