Fukamushi Sencha Yame

This is my go-to daily sencha. I love it because it's an absolutely beautiful green in the cup. It's a really strong umami flavor and it's not overpoweringly astringent. I brew it at 175 F, and I usually get 6 infusions out of each pot. I brew for 1 minute for the first cup, and then 30 seconds for the second two cups, then 45 seconds for the 4th and 5th cups, and finally 1 minute for the last cup. As you brew it you lose some of the umami and get more bright fruity fruity flavors. I also think that Den's shipping services are excellent, and the other teas I've tried from them have been good as well.

Dens tea opened my world up to truly great tea. I would love to see an organic oolong some day.

I love the roasty undertones of this tea. We drink it every night after dinner. Can’t imagine putting the day to rest without it.
