Dresser Arrived Damaged, Shipper at Fault, but Poor Design for Drawers

Let me preface this by saying that I actually own two of these dressers and the first one arrived in tact and has held up over a few years of use. I also want to say that I know the shipper is at fault for the damage and they got a poor review. When the dresser was being delivered, the shipper flipped the box completely over and allowed it to slam on my back deck upside down at full force. This meant that the tiny screws that fasten the drawer bracket had only a little bit of wood to bite into. The drawer sheared off the bracket on one side. I had to take the drawer apart, remove the bracket and all screws (the sheared off screws got stuck on the inner part of the bracket and the only way to remove them was to take the bracket off), and then epoxy the wood pieces back together. It took an hour of troubleshooting and repairing. Don't get me wrong, I don't think that normal wear and tear would create this problem. However, the drawer wood is quite soft and obviously not very strong, so at least use fasteners that can distribute the load more evenly or more strongly. Babyletto ships all of these things from China and doesn't have control over the actual delivery to your house. They should anticipate that some less than careful delivery people may be dropping off the furniture. Would I buy it again? Yeah, probably. I would just babysit the delivery people more and make them stand there until I confirmed they didn't break my item if they slammed the box.

I gave this as a gift to my so. And wife. They are in the middle of moving so the box was not opened or assembled yet. They hope to get it opened in the next month once the house is ready.
