Like the old Eagle Creek cubes, but better!

I’m a longtime user of packing cubes and strongly prefer double-sided ones (for clean-dirty separation or other versatility). I’ve been using a couple of Eagle Creek cubes for decades and they’ve finally degraded to a point where I want to replace them. Eagle Creek has changed their designs and the cubes no longer unzip all the way around with double zippers. These Bihn cubes are the closest I’ve found in style— lightweight ripstop, mesh on one side, two-way zippers all around. But the Bihn double sided cubes are way better in the two-sided design because the center compartment is gusseted. This allows the full volume of the cube to be packed from whichever side and change as needed— no need to divide the load between the two compartments when clothes are all clean or all dirty. The zippers are small and low profile but glide well. The only thing I like less about these cubes is that they have a tab-loop style handle, and I prefer a flat band sort of grab handle that’s low profile and more versatile in what it can slip over. It’s a minor thing. I got the Aeronaut 30 cubes in large laundry and small laundry. I’m hoping to get an A30 soon in my preferred colorway, but I’ve also been traveling with a Bagsmart Blast 28L backpack. The large cube fits well with space to spare, and the large + small can be used to pack the full length and width of the bag, with some additional remaining room in the depth. These cubes are absolutely worth their price and a great choice for packing into smaller bags, as well as large ones.
