Vinyl elevated dog bed hard and noisy

I only purchased the vinyl style elevated dog bed because I thought it would be easier to keep clean. However, it's very hard for my senior dog to lay on comfortably and very loud when he's trying to move around on it, especially at night. He doesn't like it, never uses it. I made a costly mistake.

My dog is happy he would rather be on this raised bed than to try to destroy it.
