I am not a golfer but bought the tees as a gift to my boyfriend and his daughter. They just played with them today and loved them!! Only concern was it was hard to balance the ball on them.

They seem to work pretty good after two 18 hole rounds with them. However, they are difficult to stick in the ground with a ball in the hand on top of the tee as most golfers use that technique for teeing up the ball. I find that I have to stick the tee in the ground first and hope I get it at the right height (which I rarely do) and then separately place the ball on top of the tee. If the tee is leaning level to the ground or slightly forward, the ball falls off and I have to readjust the tee so that it tilts slightly back so the ball will remain on the tee. In windy conditions, this can take even more extra time. Overall, it takes me 3-4 times as long to tee up a ball with this new tee design. That can be a lot of time bent over teeing up a ball and can cause some dizziness for people who might be over-weight or older with low blood pressure to begin with. For young flat bellies who are fit and can bend over and spend as much time as needed, then the tees should be fine. But for this 69 yr. old very fit golfer/tennis/pickleball player, it is not impossible to use these, but they are not very easy to use compared to the old design tees. I'll give them a few more rounds to try to get accustomed to how to expedite the tee up process before I toss them in the trash. Verdict is still out ! P.S.: I have NOT seen any improvement in my driving accuracy or percentage of fairways hit, or lower overall scores. So manage your expectations accordingly.

Originally I was skeptical of the new tees and it took a bit of getting used to, but have played a few rounds with them and they seem to be working well. They are a bit finicky when setting up with ball to the point it seems you almost need to set them a bit of a rear angle to have the ball sit on tee. Also if the ground is a bit on the hard side, the tee has a tendency to bend a bit but it will go and maintains its shape without issue. They are quite durable and I have only broken one thus far and it was two of the “ears” on the cup where the ball sits (sides). Overall, I’m happy with the product, I would recommend possibly adding stripping on the shaft of the tee in different colors to give an idea for driver height and so forth so it’s easier to gauge depth when placing tee. Obviously each person is different when they tee up the ball but a generic guide might be helpful.
