The best
I have been playing the cello for 48 years, 38 years a full time professional cellist. I occasionally try new brands of strings but always come back to Jargar Superior. They are by far the best strings out there, warm rich tonel, big projection, and they are very responsive and easy to play on. They are the best for my almost 300 year old Italian cello.

What a pleasant surprise!
I ordered both the Jargar A and D Superior in the Forte gauge and I have been so happy with the qualities they have brought to my cello. My cello is on the darker side tonally and I feel that these strings allow my cello to keep it's natural color while giving it a boost in projection. Under the ear it sounds great and the strings are quick to respond to both left and right hands. Having played practically every A, D soloist string available(Permanent Soloist being my favorite prior to Jargar Superior), I will happily keep these strings on my cello going forward.

Jargar D strings
An excellent string...an alternative to the Larsens. D strings are problematic on may cellos, and I have spent a lot of $ on D strings that I did not like and took off right away. It is warm yet powerful and the dolce is very responsive. I use the superior d with the classic a, medium or forte. which I still prefer over the superior A
