Evah Pirazzi Gold Cello C String

very nice

i got a new set of magnacore (A+D) and evah pirazzi gold (G+C) -- usually go with larsen soloist (A+D) and spirocore tungsten (G+C). the reviews are holding up true, at first the evah pirazzi gold's sounded a bit muted at first but after breaking-in the sound is rich and avoids the metallic twang of the spirocore's while maintaining or exceeding responsiveness. break-in time was about two weeks for both the magnacore's and evah pirazzi gold's. love the magnacore (A+D) -- very responsive, rich, complex tone -- but have been reading that magnocore (G+C) are also edgy like the spirocore tungsten. four stars bc i ordered over a holiday weekend so processing/shipping seemed to be a bit slow.
