Holstein Premium Bench David 1740 Violin

It’s everything i thought it would be.

This violin is so sweet and vibrant. The projection is incredible. I thought I had a loud violin before but the resonance out of this violin blows me away. The high end doesn’t have the faintest hint of being shrill. It’s all sweetness with this violin. The playability is outstanding. I find myself playing quicker and the action is butter. It also feels much lighter than I thought it would. It sounds beautiful, it plays beautiful and it is visually beautiful. I wouldn’t want anything else.

I’m a budding intermediate and outgrew the beginner level violin that I started on last year. I decided to step way up, and bought the Holstein Premium Bench 1740 violin, which was delivered two weeks ago. I’ve been playing acoustic guitar for 60 years, so I know what a great instrument can do for your playing and appreciation. Right out of the case, this violin has blown me away, and it will only get better as it opens up. Other reviewers say how the David is perfectly balanced across the full range, AND sings on every note. That’s exactly my experience as well. A great instrument is one that’s hard to put down, and the David is superbly that. Thanks Fiddlershop!
