Caveat Emptor
Well, I suppose this cap could be considered something like a gateway drug for me to the entire WW line of clothing. When my thirty year old beaver trimmed cap finally began failing and I determined I couldn’t replace it, I decided to try a watch cap and identified this one as a good candidate. Upon arrival, it was truly impressive. It was large enough to actually cover my ears without riding up and it felt better than any wool I’d ever handled before - it was thick, soft and didn’t itch. After wearing it for a few days, I ordered one for my wife and then one for my nephew. Since receiving the cap, I’ve ordered additional WW shirts, a coat for my wife and finally an anorak, all equally impressive and equally addictive. I’ll most likely purchase more. So, If you have a gear habit - custom knives, firearms, tools, etc. - you need to beware of this product.

Finally... A beanie that fits my massive head
This watch cap is incredibly cosy and does a brilliant job of protecting the ears from cold harsh winds. Most merino beanies are too thin and just let the wind pass right through them - well, not this one. It's double layered - which means when you fold it over to create the brim, that's four layers of knit merino protecting your forehead and ears. I also like how the fold and brim can be adjusted to meet your needs. It's very versatile, like most WeatherWool pieces. This hat coupled with the neck gaiter provides almost complete coverage of the head. I'm very pleased with it! I'd like another in classic brown.

Best Beanie Money Can Buy!
This beanie and the neck gaiter were my first purchase from Weatherwool and certainly lead to my Weatherwool obsession. I have a large collection of merino and buffalo wool beanies and they all have some amount of itchiness. This beanie has no itch whatsoever and is sized well enough to cover your entire head while having a big cuff to double over the ears. It is a little too warm if you are active in temps above 30 degrees Fahrenheit but was warm with windchill as low as -4 degrees duck hunting last week. The combo with the neck gaiter is superb!
