Rotate it 90 degrees and it works perfectly, even with a case!
I found that when configured the way that it is shown in the product photography on this site, it would not charge my phone or AirPods Pro (the latter being of no importance). However when I rotated the pad 90 degrees and used a little double sided 3M VHB tape to attach it to the cradle, it charges my phone perfectly, even through a case! My phone is an iPhone 15 Pro Max and I have a PolarPro Light Chaser case on it.
