I am new to synthetic reeds and have been very happy with the European cut and how they sound on my Buffet bass clarinet. The consistency between the reeds is great and I'm so much happier than I was having to toss out so many cane reeds that wouldn't be repairable.
Thanks!

Very pleasantly surprised. I've been playing Legeres on my bass for years, and this is the first time I've tried the European Cut. The difference is amazing! Freer blowing, clearer tone, lets more wind through. I will stick with the European from now on.

unsure
i need to try and swap this reed out for a different hardness. i thought i needed a much harder reed, as i’ve had the experience of that improving my playing experience in the past. Apparently however, this isn’t the issue with my bass clarinet mouthpiece. i’ve been using a super soft reed and the much harder reed changed nothing at all about the quality of the sound… and maybe just made it a little more work to play… so i might as well stick with the softer reed.
in terms of the legere reeds tho, they’re the only ones i ever want at this point.
