Treat yourself to one of these, Diamond or Low Kicker.
I am building two of the Generation 5 Polyvalent Diamond framesets, a 'small' in Green and a 'medium' in Metallic Glacier, and would mention their having at least two noteworthy features. One, these framesets have a very low front fork trail, great for sharp maneuvering city bikes, gravel bikes, and carrying heavy cargo loads over a bike's front wheel, In France long ago, this type of bike was known to carry 100-lb loads of city-delivery newspapers over its front wheel, although those bikes were extra-reinforced for strength. Velo Orange also offers the best front rack for these bikes, the Porteur Rack and I have two of them, although other front racks are available. Sure, these bikes can also carry and have mounts for rear racks, too. Two, the genius of these bikes is in their blending of old and new, the framesets having a multitude of long familiar mounts and braze-ons, yet their modernity now includes provisions for thru-axle hubs and disc brakes. These are my first bikes with disc brakes. Get one of these while available!

This bike is DOPE!
Stoked on this frame! Having a 29er hard tail and a few vintage road bikes in my arsenal, the polyvalent bridges that gap for me. With great mix of paved and dirt/gravel paths in Santa Cruz, I needed something to rip across town and jump to some off road. I got that now, and not sure exactly what to do with the rest of my bikes cause this can do it all for me. Purchased the frame about 9 months ago and acquired parts throughout the year…mostly parts available from VO..the juiciest of bicycle products ;) the biggest decisions were the brakes and levers. Went with the growtac equal for both since I love friction shifting and there was no question in compatibility..plus amazing reviews that didn’t let me down. Anyway, I put it all together and couldn’t be happier on the look and performance of the bike. Steel frame but not Next mission is to outfit this thing with racks, bags, and all that good stuff. With all the braze ons added to the frame the options are endless.

Shining Diamond
Ed at Catonsville Bicycles did the build for me and it’s the best looking bike I have ever seen. Can’t wait to beat this beat and start riding. Test ride was so smooth and comfortable
