came very small with some strange coloring, but tasted great I think I ordered the wrong thing anyway

Frankly, disappointing.

Received my order of eight, 8 oz filet mignon quickly and packed well at a decent price of $30/lb. That's the good. Perhaps hoping for center cut Prime was a little naive, but these steaks are far from that. These all were cut either from the head or tail of the tenderloin and most near the wing. All have a line of sinew like near the "wing" and excessive fat and untrimmed silver skin. After trimming, I was left with 5 oz of actual steak that had to be tied with string to make it steak-like. This causes uneven cooking. Unfortunately, the only thing I could do with these was cut out the good parts and use them for a teriyaki stir fry and beef stew. Those dishes were excellent, but not why I ordered filet mignon.
