My first ever homemade wine 🥳

First and foremost Brew 2 Bottle is a superbly run company, they answer your questions promptly, prices are great and delivery has been great 👍. This winexpert Chilean Merlot is what I chose for my first go at homemade wine and the instructions are excellent and easy to follow, even for the complete novice. And today is bottling day for the wine and I got 28 and a half bottles, I'm going to age the 28 bottles for 3 months or more so the wine can develop and get even better, the half bottle we're having tonight, but initial tasting has us filled with promise as the wine at this young stage, is smooth, quite fruity and tastes pleasant, it does have a faint chemical smell which I assume is the sulphite and I added 5 crushed campden tablets to this batch of wine 48hrs before bottling as recommended in the instructions if you are going to age the wine for 3 months or longer, but the wine is drinkable at this point, but will only get better from this point forward, so I am very impressed with this wine kit and I have started another Winexpert Classic red wine which is the Italian Sangiovese, which I will also review when it's ready 👍
