Granitestone bakeware

I had to order 2 sets of bakeware so I could have 2 round or square cake pans. I have never bought a set of bake ware that only had one pan. Hard to make a layer cake with only one pan. The problem I have experienced is with the muffin pan, as it is the only pan I have used. I made banana muffins and they stuck like glue in the pan. I didn’t think I had to use oil/spray/shortening in the pan. I was very disappointed as I had to dig the muffins out of the pan. Am I wrong to think the pans were to be nonstick?
