Haven't caught anything yet but casting and using the rod the first time out was pretty good and intuitive. Have used my friend's Hane for bluegill and it's been fine fighting smaller fish. The lack of a 5th star is primarily from spending extra to add on the Tenkara Kit and the forceps broke the very first time I used them. Very shoddily made.

3ft of snow, between snow storms…

Seems great so far. Trudged through snow to edge of river where a few pools were ice free. Hane’s size, weight, ease of use made it far easier, more simple to fish while getting beat up by mothernature! Cant wait for spring.
