Thumb and done.

Model 6000 Hood Guard-Self Locking System is more than a nice to have and slightly less than a need to have. The product is an easy install and will prevent all kinds of crying. I use them on both SLS/ALS and especially on SLS only holsters. They also help in keeping your external body armor off your releases.
