This mantel shelf was exactly what we needed to protect our TV and sound bar from the heat that comes from our gas fireplace. Our house is decorated in midcentury modern style and we were looking for something that would go with it. This minimalistic black floating mantel shelf was perfect for us. The size was just right too. Installation was pretty easy and my hubby did it himself (he is handy though). We are very happy with our purchase.
