Beautiful Violin

The Kreisler violin is beautifully made, comfortable to play, it has a more quiet sound than the workshop Cannone violin I also ordered around the same time for my sister. It's a very beautiful instrument and I am glad to have it.

Great Violin for Old Time fiddle tunes

Having a very positive experience with a Fiddlershop order last year (a B-stock very fine sounding Traditional Lord Wilton nicely discounted), I ordered a Workshop Kreisler. Pleased that what I hoped for in the higher level instrument were achieved - more tonal focus, nicer woods, and still retaining the slightly warm Guarneri sound. I requested slightly wider string spacing at the nut, (skillfully done by the setup staff) and the instrument was super comfortable for me right out of the box. The ordering process with Fiddlershop, and the test videos played by Michael are terrific. Getting to hear, see and choose the actual instrument you are buying eliminates most of the major drawbacks to buying online. A very well thought out process! Also I should add that the website is easy to navigate, and Mac/Safari browser friendly. (Most other string shops have websites that won't work well on Safari, and my feedback on this is mostly ignored). I placed my order thirty minutes after viewing the videos.
