It’s a great piece of glass. It is also big. I’ve used it for both sitting and glassing all day, as well as running and gunning. It is a big spotting scope but if you want to glass every possible second in low light you’ll want this. It also is great to help get more detail before you start your stalk or check a bird off on the birding list. I have it on the outdoorsmans fluid head and tripod with the center post extension. I haven’t glassed from the truck window with it. If you’ve been wanting this get it. Just don’t forget it’s big, and you might have to rearrange your pack to get around with it.

I am thoroughly impressed with the clarity of this optic! I have two 15 x 56 SLC that I use for glassing and my old 80mm Swarovski spotting scope. As an older hunter, the eyes just aren't as good as they used to be. I found that that long viewing from the old Swarovski 80mm was hard to do. So I opted for the 115mm BTX and now with both eyes open, I'm back to better glassing and longer looks at game. These are BIG and CLEAR...too heavy for me to pack in for long hike, but I don't need too as I can identify whether the long hike is needed from miles away! Side note: family has been looking at Saturn's rings, Jupiter's moons through them too. Very satisfied with quality and clarity. Another great product from Outdoorsmans! They set me up with the needed mounts for my tripod as well. Great service. Joe
