While the bracket itself seems fine and is easy to engineer the shelf for the insert, it does not take well when it comes to standard building tolerances. We all know that a wall is never perfectly straight, especially not over several studs. In order to engage the profile correctly you will have shim the wall to have the bracket perfectly straight, otherwise the matching side will not go on. That will leave a gap to the wall and the shelf is not flush with the wall which weakens the overall integrity. Prepare for a lot of shims and frustration. No way it will hold 300 lbs in a normal condition in my opinion.

The impossible made possible

Using olive wood to make floating shelves. Too much character in the wood to drill long holes. Hovr was cut and used and performed perfectly.
