Had ‘higher’ hopes
Be aware: This was a confusing transaction. I didn’t speak nursery terms. I learned that ‘bare root measurements’, include root length. A healthy tree labeled 4 -5 feet - with a 13 inch root, may be only 35 inches above the soil level. So don’t plan on seeing the height of four to five feet —- my tree is healthy - but on the short side of what I thought I was getting. A three story building, with a basement is marketed as four stories in nursery terminology. Now I know. And you do, too.

The tree arrived well, and is in excellent condition!
Hello, I received the quince, in very good condition, alive and just sleepy! I soaked for 12 hrs. and potted for a week. Started to show buds very fast. After that , now is planted in my garden (following Laura's advice in the videos!; love her!) and right now, when the weather started to warm up, the tree is sprouting all over! I hope it will make me happy, because, I love quinces so much (had them in the garden back home, and my grandma always cured them on top of shelf in the kitchen... great perfume!!! Thank you again for a great tree. I'm looking to get my Crimson Cherry tree for the incoming Spring. All the best.

Resilient and Healthy
Communication around delivery and its arrival condition were impeccable. I was able to refer to Raintree's instructions and helpful YouTube videos for the best ways to prepare the bare root tree for planting (shoutout to Alaska Fish Fertilizer, that stuff is amazing!). Through some wild weather swings so far this year, some aphids and Japanese beetle infestations, the young tree has been remarkably resilient. Even with these few snags and a few munched leaves, I've seen over 12 inches of growth in 4 months and it appears happy and healthy (and bug-free) going into Month 5. I look forward to revisiting this with a new review once the tree begins to bear fruit in a few years. Overall, I'm very impressed and satisfied so far.
