Baby Crawford Peach - didn’t survive

Disappointed by late shipping as our daily temps were already in mid-90s. Received on March 24, soaked in water for about a day, planted on March 26. The tree broke buds very quickly, grew 2” new growth, then died almost as quickly. By end of April all leaves were shriveled and turning brown. I used the same process for the other 2 trees in my order and they are doing fine. This is the same process in use for all bareroot plants that I buy. By the end of April we had reached 100 degrees, so I believe this tree just couldn’t handle the sudden burst heat as it woke up from its deep winter sleep. I would like to give this one another next season.

I am so pleased with the size and quality of the delivery I received with this Baby Crawford Peach Tree. I have very high hopes for a beautiful tree. The condition of the tree is great (few broken scaffolding branches inside box) but the tree will surely be absolutely beautiful Great shape and was nicely pre-pruned in advance of shipping. I will be buying more from Raintree!!
