No root development
I was very disappointed with the tiny size and lack of roots on this cutting. It died within week of planting.

Fantastic Producer
I’m located in Clark County zone 8 in an unusual weather pocket that tends to stay colder a bit longer with lots of heavy snow in the winter months. I planted the Rovada Red Currants in partial shade with morning sun and are thriving beautifully. I have two Rosettas (which are very small in comparison) and two Rovada and the Rovada has grown quite large. It took 3 years for the fruit yield off of two bushes to become substantial I did get some fruit the second year, they require minimal care to maintain. I have been amending with compost in the fall and spring they seem to love it. I was able to make 12 pints of red currant jam last summer with the berry harvest and it was delicious. As an added bonus the deer leave them alone! I will definitely be adding more of these to my edible landscape.
