Will do the job.

This will do the job of protecting the bottom of the tent from rough surfaces, but it is very loud and crinkly! It’s also so light that it WILL fly away in the slightest breeze while you’re still trying to pitch your tent. It’s also not the exact footprint of the tent (Skyscape Scout) so the corners poke out from underneath and you have to fold them under.

light and compact

so light I am not sure it will protect bottom of tent. Will have to see.
