Microphone isn't great

We love the 360 camera and how it tracks motion and sound. Our experience for those in the room is great! We often get complaints from those on the other end that the microphone does not pick up well and that they have a very difficult time hearing. I wish that there were additional microphones available to augment the Owl's built in mics.

We have been searching for a way to have remote conference meetings in our faciality since COVID hit. Everything we have found was going to blow our budget out of the water. We stumbled upon The Owl during our search and bought one to start. We set this up in a training room, and let HR try it out. We had tested other devices, but nothing stood up to the quality of OWL. They have since used OWL for remote training, interviewing, and meetings. OWL was a huge hit; everyone loved the simpleness to setup and use! We went on to equip all our conference rooms with OWL. OWL is the solution to our needs.

Good video, great algorithm, impractical audio.

The camera system itself is really good. The way it uses sound to figure out who's talking is spot-on 90% of the time. It would be a tad better if the natural digital zoom was more hi-res, though. For our purposes, though, the deal-killer was actually the audio. The audio quality itself was fine on both ends, but the seemingly half-duplex nature of it was another story. We found during meetings that when a remote user was talking, there was no way a person sitting in the room with the device could interrupt them. It simply cut them off until the remote person finished. Therefore it wasn't a solution for us.
