Whiteboard Owl

The product paired well with our Owl 4 equipment and I appreciated the ability to mount it on a tripod since we move around to different conference rooms. I returned it, unfortunately, because the video quality, rendering speed, person masking delays, and inability to correct for aspect ration and unattractive edge boundaries all contrasted with the 4K polish of the Owl 4 cameras. I hope Owl Labs is working on a smaller, flexible, AI-powered black camera that can wireless connect to the Owl system and show crisp video (masking is less important) of the white board content similar to Insta360 Link2's smart whiteboard feature.

Very well packaged! It was safe and very well protected.

Experience so far - mixed

We had some trouble getting it set up, it was finicky where the tags were set so be careful about setting hooks for tags with anything hard to remove or using the camera tape for walls until your geometry is all confirmed. Use something temporary on your walls and boards until you are happy with results. I like the idea of a special camera for sensing the particular contrast of the ink but the results are a little spotty, like a variety of ink color showing from the same marker. Lastly, the speed of the web part of the Whiteboard Cam is slow both to access the notes as well as the time for it to appear in the web app. WE are using very high speed computers and speedy internet so that is not the limitation in this case.
