My new favorite

From my first sip I could tell that this was better than expected. I've been making wine for 20 years, and this one is excellent. It's lighter in body than a Cabernet Sauvignon or Pinot Noir. And I like that. It's full of flavor, but not heavy. I like the fruity flavor, which is light, but very present. It makes me think of Sangiovese, but with its own distinctive character.

The kit arrived right on time, It is still perking away in the primary fermenter so I can’t comment on the final wine, but since it is 70% Sangiovese, I expect a full bodied red. WIll comment (much) later when drinkable.

Perfect wine, most expensive kit I’ve made and was worth it! Medium dry red that is light and fruitful going down. I will likely keep most of these bottles for myself. 🍷
