Irish Ale Experiment
The yeast arrived alive. Yeah! One pouch for 5 gallons in the PF.
My experiment has been a success. Rave reviews from all partakers.
Added puréed cranberries to the boil. Elevated the CO2 content about 50% with a little more priming sugar.
ABV ~ 5%.
I would describe the taste as mildly tart with subtle hops flavors. Bubbly with a short but stable head.
Sincerely,
A Brewing Neophyte

Great yeast
I've used this yeast on a previous stout and it worked great. This time the yeast was slow and died after the 1st day of fermentation. I think during shipping the yeast was stressed or something. When the package arrives the cold pack was barely cold. I immediately put the pack of yeast in the fridge and hope for the best. So to be fair, based on what I know from the 1st stout, it is a great yeast. Just didn't work out this time but I would still get it again.
